This vintage Ben Cooper TV Hero Halloween costume with mask is from the 1970s featuring a Space Explorer/Nasa Astrounaut This is a child's costume and is sized as Large 12-14. I do not believe that this would be equivalent to today's sizes. The costume set comes complete with the original box. The costume has a rip in the crotch which was so common for these; it can possibly be fixed since it is torn in the seam. It has some fraying on leg openings and arms. The front upper portion of the costume where the graphics are looks good. However the rest has a lot of staining which were hard to capture due to the nature of this material; I am not sure if these can be treated/hand washed. The costume is also very wrinkled. The mask does have some cracks and indentations from use storage. Also, the mask still lights up and will require a D battery in order to work. The piece of metal that you push down onto the battery does come out; it was made this way in order to put the battery in. Please keep in mind if it comes out all of the way you will need to line it up properly in order for the mask to light up; there is a slot for it inside the cardboard. The mask's elastic is intact, but not sure how durable it will be if you mess with it, due to it's age. The box is in overall fair to good condition with some wear and tear to include writing and stickers and also wear due to years of storage. Keep in mind this is over 40 years old! Please review the multiple pictures which will show details of the costume and mask including and be aware this is being sold as-is and for collectible purposes only as I do not believe it is still durable enough to be worn without causing further damage.
